Yogyakarta to Bromo and Ijen Crater Tour Itinerary (By Train)
Day 1:
05:00 PM – Depart from Yogyakarta by Train
- Meet at Yogyakarta Station for your overnight train journey to Probolinggo.
- Relax and enjoy the comfortable overnight ride to your destination.
Overnight on the Train
- Sleep on the train to prepare for the exciting tour ahead.
Day 2:
06:00 AM – Arrive in Probolinggo
- Arrive at Probolinggo Station early in the morning.
- Meet your guide and join the group.
07:00 AM – Drive to Mount Bromo
- Travel by jeep to the Bromo area (approximately 1-2 hours drive).
- Stop at the Penanjakan Viewpoint to catch the sunrise over Mount Bromo.
08:00 AM – Explore Bromo Crater
- After sunrise, take a jeep to the base of Mount Bromo.
- Hike or ride a horse (optional) to the volcano’s crater.
10:00 AM – Return to Probolinggo
- Head back to Probolinggo for lunch and rest.
12:00 PM – Depart for Ijen Crater
- Continue your journey towards Ijen Crater, approximately a 4-5 hour drive from Probolinggo.
Evening – Arrival and Overnight in Ijen Area
- Check into a local hotel near Ijen Crater for rest before the next day’s early adventure.
Day 3:
01:00 AM – Depart for Ijen Crater
- Depart from your hotel and head to the Ijen Crater by jeep.
- Arrive at the base and begin the hike to the crater (around 1.5-2 hours hike).
03:30 AM – See the Blue Flame & Sunrise
- Reach the crater and witness the famous Blue Flame (blue fire phenomenon).
- Stay for the stunning Ijen sunrise over the turquoise lake in the crater.
06:00 AM – Descend and Return to Hotel
- After exploring, descend and head back to your hotel for breakfast.
08:00 AM – Rest and Check-out
- Rest, have breakfast, and check-out of your hotel.
11:00 AM – Return to Ketapang Banyuwangi Port
- Travel back to Banyuwangi Depending on your chosen drop-off location.
